I recently booked a graphic design client because my resume made an impression on someone that interviewed me for an admin job over a year ago. Taking advantage of that for a resume has served me well. Like it or not, our brains are primed for bright, aesthetic, attention-grabbing content. Hiring teams are made up of people - people who watch TikTok and scroll through Instagram in their spare time. If I know that I'm sending a resume to a person, NOT applying through an ATS, the wild resume has yielded more interviews and offers than a traditional one ever has. I currently work in a non-creative role in a creative-adjacent field, but even before I did, I have had a rainbow resume. I know it's an unpopular opinion in this sub that'll likely get me down voted, but my resume is similar to #1 but with more colors, and it's been a great asset for me personally.
